In Prague there are many sights on both sides of the big river Vltava. When you arrive in Prague, you first need an overview and orientation. For this purpose, the introductory bus tours presented here are just right.
The company Martin Tours offers short tours through the historical center of Prague by bus. There are 2 different overview tours. One is one hour long, the other is two hours long. The longer orientation tour includes also Prague Castle, the biggest castle in Europe and the most important sight of the city.
The two tours of Prague are ideal for the beginning of the trip to the Czech capital. You drive around the city in a minibus and pass the important sights of Prague. You sit in the bus and get a headset. Very easily, you can choose from more than 20 languages at any seat in the bus by pressing a button. Through the headphones you then hear the information about the sights.
The whole “Orientation Tour”, as the bus tour through Prague is called in English, is very well done. The announcements in the headphones are always just at the right moment, right when you see the described sight out of the window. The texts are very informative. Our good driver slowly steered the bus through downtown Prague. You pass a lot of attractions during the overview tour. Among them are the Jewish quarter, the world famous Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square, all the important churches and much more. The introductory tour Prague by bus starts almost directly at the Old Town Square with the Town Hall and the famous Town Hall Clock, so right in the center of the Old Town of Prague. Everything is very well organized. Our Orientation Tour driver was nice, the departure was on time, the atmosphere in the bus was good.
We can only recommend the overview tour of Prague. It is the ideal start for a city trip through Prague, just to get an overview.
