Posted by Almost everybody knows the chain “Hard Rock Cafe”. The American restaurants and bars now exist in over 70 countries. There is also a large branch in Prague, right in the centre of the old town.
There is good American food in large portions in the Hard Rock Cafe. Also a lot of alcohol is drunk. Sometimes live bands play. Almost every Hard Rock Cafe also has a bar. If you’ve never been to a Hard Rock Cafe before and soon go to Prague, you can visit a branch.

In every Hard Rock Cafe there is also a shop where clothes are sold. There you can buy the legendary T-shirts and hoodies with the inscription: Hard Rock Cafe plus city name. Also in Prague we were in the shop directly behind the entrance. The T-shirts are not quite cheap, about 30 Euro in different colors with the writing “Hard Rock Cafe Prague”.
Important: If you want to eat and drink in the Hard Rock Cafe Prague, you might have a problem. It is usually full, a lot of tables are reserved, etc. Often you wait for hours at the entrance for a table. On this website you can book in advance if you order a menu right away. We advise you to take the 3-course menu, which costs little more than the 2-course menu. Take much hunger with you, the portions are very large.

The food is very American or international. The hamburgers, for example, are delicious and huge. The Prager Hard Rock Cafe goes over 3 floors, but there is usually no free space. The 5-meter chandelier in the form of a guitar is well known.

Where is the Hard Rock Cafe Prague ?
Directly in the centre of the Old Town of Prague. If you stand on the Old Town Square (central square of the old town) in front of the astronomical clock at the town hall, turn left. After 50 metres you come to a small square. On this square is the Hard Rock Cafe on the opposite side. The square is called “Male namesti”.

What is a Hard Rock Cafe?
It’s all from America. However, 2 Americans opened the first cafe in London in the 70s, Eric Clapton and other celebrities were regular guests. Then followed branches in the USA and later on all continents in 70 countries. Even better known than the cafes or restaurants / bars are the T-shirts with the inscription “Hard Rock Cafe Prague” or another city name. These shirts can be bought in the stores.
In Germany there are Hard Rock Cafes in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne, in Austria in Vienna and Innsbruck. As far as we know, there is no branch in Switzerland. The only Hard Rock Cafe in the Czech Republic is the one in Prague.
